4 Ways to Increase Your Social Media Engagement

Are you constantly posting on social media, but no one is engaging with you? Well, here are 4 tips to make your social media pop.

Be a Social Butterfly

Chatting and showing your followers some love is essential. Sharing, liking, and commenting on others’ posts lets them know you care and are paying attention to their content. It also builds friendships and bonds with new people. By doing this, other users will likely show your content love too. Other ways to interact with others: join a live, participate in story polls, and create group DMs.

Always use Call to Actions (CTA)

It’s easy to forget a CTA when you are trying not to appear sales-y. But, giving your audience responsibility makes them feel included and that’s exactly what a good CTA should accomplish. Each CTA should speak directly to your ideal audience. Strong CTAs like “Join our community” or “Claim your free trial” will have your audience take immediate action, whereas subtle CTAs like “Link in bio for more” or “Comment your favorite book below” will increase awareness and engagement with ease.

Run a contest or giveaway

If you have extra inventory or the capacity to give something away, a contest or giveaway will certainly boost your engagement. We have to warn though, this method is instantaneous and also short lived. The good news is everyone loves FREE. Strategically, a contest or a giveaway allows the consumer to try your product or service without hesitation. These concepts can create a positive buzz regarding what you offer. Not to mention whoever wins will spread the word about what they received so this is your opportunity to shine bright like a diamond.

Host a weekly convo (live, chat, WEBINAR, etc.)

Going live or chatting online shows you are personable and accessible. You can talk about your service and product or about a trending topic that ties into the work you do, inviting your audience to participate and engage with you. BONUS: Recording behind-the-scenes at events is a unique way to bring your audience along with you in your journey.

That wraps us up. Social media is a great tool to engage with your ideal audience, if you take full advantage of it. Use these tips and your audience will surely notice your efforts.
